Afterword

This story’s life started as a 30,000 word contribution to an anthology my mentoring group released in 2021.

Originally, I was going to write under my urban fantasy pen name (Lauren Dawes) and have Bane as a werewolf.

Thankfully, that didn’t happen.

As I began to write Bane and Wren’s story, all I could do was sit back and watch it unfold so beautifully. This book only took me 25 days to write, but because I was so into these characters, it felt like no time at all.

I hope you’ve grown to love them too and are looking forward to finding out more about the mysterious Dagger.
