This has been a hard year for me. My mum passed away suddenly in my house the day before I was moving from California to Florida to live closer to her. Just like in the story, I was in the next room when my mum fell in the bathroom and she was gone within a few hours. There is nothing that can prepare you for the loss of your best friend and your biggest supporter. This book was written for my mum. She loved adventure and she loved living life. When she was younger, she moved to North Carolina and was a nanny on Hilton Head Island, she moved to Beirut and was a Belly Dancer, she lived in the Amazon rainforest and followed Amerindian tribes. My mum followed her heart, no matter how foolhardy. And I take so much inspiration from her.

My mum was my biggest supporter when I wanted to leave my job at a nonprofit and become a full-time writer. She always told me to follow my heart and she knew that I loved romance and I loved writing. This book is dedicated to her memory and her love of living life to the fullest.
