B Positive by Jewel Killian

Thirty-One

In a blur,Julian swept everything off the table and had me laid across it like Thanksgiving dinner.

He tugged at my legs until my hips were at the edge of the table. Apparently, I was about to be dessert.

My body hummed with need, desire, anticipating everything he was about to do to me.

And the cloak?

Who the hell knows when that disappeared? But it was long gone and that served as a reminder to my hormone-addled brain.

A reminder that was more frustrating than anything since Julian was slowly inching my pants off me. I didn’t want to spoil the mood. But I also had to know.

“You know how you can hear my dirty thoughts sometimes?”

He pressed a kiss into my thigh. “Mmm, all the time. I could hear your thoughts as you pleasured yourself last night.”

Oof.I hadn’t considered that when I envisioned him fingering me to a shuddering orgasm.

“Well, I hope you enjoyed the show.”

He nuzzled into my upper thigh, nipping lightly at the skin. “Indeed I did. I enjoy every naughty thought you have. Especially the surprising ones.”

I sat up on my elbows. “Surprising ones? What surprising ones?” I asked, unsure if I truly wanted an answer.

Julian smiled against my leg before meeting my eyes. “You enjoy when I’m rough. When I tell you what to do. And you really like calling me names in your head. You enjoy it enough that I can hear it, at least.” He finished the sentiment with a long lick up the inside of my thigh.

Yup. I should have listened to myself because I definitely did not want to know any of that. Move it along. “Anyway, the reason I brought up the subject is because I’m curious why I can never hear your thoughts.”

Julian’s tongue stopped trailing up my leg and he met my gaze. “I wasn’t aware you couldn’t.”

“So you aren’t intentionally cloaking your thoughts to keep me in the dark about things you don’t think I can handle yet?”

Julian let out a long sigh. “I have no doubt you can handle any and every dirty secret our kind can throw your way, Eden. It was never about me shielding you from reality. But you admitted yourself you weren’t keen on the vampire life in the beginning. I was genuinely afraid if you learned too much too soon, you’d leave and never look back.”

I stared into his clearing gaze and took him at his word.

“Yeah, I probably would have.”

“Please don’t hold my actions against me, Eden. Anything I kept from you I did so to preserve our bond and keep you safe. You don’t know how rare a mate bond like ours is, and I only wanted to protect it. To give it the best chance of surviving.”

I nodded, understanding his viewpoint. “No more secrets from now on, all right? No more hiding things.”

Julian gave me a quick nod before returning his attention to my thighs again.

He gave them both a kiss before honing in on what he was really after, and hooked his fingers into my underwear to slide them off my body.

“Should we, I don’t know put a towel down or something?” I asked, suddenly all too aware that we ate there.

Julian’s returning smile could only be classified as devious. “I don’t plan on letting even one drop of you spill, Eden.”

I groaned and laid back on the table, propping an arm under my head so I could watch the gorgeous vampire king treat me like a four-course dinner.

Julian chuckled as he hooked my legs over his shoulders. “You like watching me, hm?”

Fuck! I kept forgetting he could hear my naughty thoughts.

“Yes, I do like watching. And I’d like it even more if you’d quit drawing this out and get busy making me scream your name.”

Julian’s eyes went full dark before he winked at me. “As you wish, mate.”

He wasted no time. No teasing. No build up. God knows I’d had enough of that anyway. Julian went straight for my lady bean and fuck, did he know what to do when he got there.

I held on to the edge of the table with one hand and grabbed the back of his head with the other, and prayed I could hold on as he licked and sucked and swirled me to the fucking moon.

In absolutely no time, I was cresting, hips riding his face.

Just as I was prepared to fall into another mind-blowing orgasm, Julian pulled away.

“What the fuck! Don’t stop!”

“I have to or you’ll finish before I’ve had my fill of you.”

His words sent a shiver of renewed desire through me. My eyes rolled up as I collapsed back on the table.

That was without a doubt the hottest thing I’d ever heard.

Julian’s soft chuckle reached me once again. And then his fingers slid in me, curling against that deep, sensitive part few men knew how to stimulate properly.

My legs shook around him, preparing to climb once more.

Julian’s tongue found my clit and he sucked, hard, harder than I thought I should have liked, but fuck, did I like it! I moaned and squirmed under him until he planted a steely forearm across my hips and kept me still.

“When you move too much I can’t worship you the way I want,” he said against my folds, and if I had been any closer, I would have come right then.

Julian slowed his “come hither” motion inside me and I arched toward him.

“You come when I say you do,” he rumbled.

Dick.

All at once, he was back to the faster speed, fingers working, lips and tongue doing magical things to Ms. Bean.

My legs tensed, my back arched, and I rode out my pleasure on Julian’s face, screaming his name to the chandelier.

A strange passing thought drifting through my awareness when I finally came down from outer space.

Julian laughed against my hip. “The vampires who live and work here respect the mate bonding process. They also aren’t prudes, so no one will be bothered by you screaming my name.”

“Of course that’s what they’ll say to you. You’re the king. But maybe we should keep the rest of our bonding to the bedroom?”

Julian stood from his kneeling position. “Eden, if I take you to a bedroom, you’re not coming out until I’ve had you every possible way a mate can have their partner.”

And just like that I was ready for another go at it.

Hours later, I made it to my bedroom, sore and physically sated but still wanting to reciprocate.

Julian had made me come countless times and yet, I wasn’t allowed to touch him. Not yet at least.

I understood his reasoning, obviously. But that didn’t mean I was happy about having to wait four days before I could feel him in my hands, or mouth, or…

I made it into the shower, rinsed off and crawled into bed, remembering that Julian could sense my naughty thoughts.

That got me thinking.

I might not be able to touch him, but I could still think about it.

I imagined finally seeing Julian nude, all those muscles, the powerful legs I’ve felt, the enormous cock springing free of his shorts.

Then, I thought about that gorgeous big cock sliding into me and—

A low, rumbling groan came from across the hall.

Bingo.

I fell fast asleep content in the knowledge that I’d thought Julian into an orgasm.

I slept great, considering the countless orgasms, but I woke up cranky that I still had three days to wait.

I didn’t want to wait.

I wanted him now.

Even more than before, it seemed.

I stomped through my morning routine, stomped downstairs, and met Sunny in the great room.

“Rough night?” she asked, putting distance between us.

I reached for the Starbucks cup. “No. I had the time of my fucking life. But it seems like the more he gives me, the more I want him. And he’s not letting me have him right now, so I’m frustrated and cranky about it.”

“Got it,” Sunny said and handed me her tablet. “A distraction, maybe?”

I huffed out a sigh. “I’ll try anything at this point.” I took the tablet and glanced at the report she’d compiled. “Oh.” I sat up straighter and took a long sip of blood. “By the way, Julian says I should have the full ration again, so don’t halve my cups anymore.”

Sunny’s lip went between her teeth. “Okay, sure. No problem.”

“Sunny?” I asked, reading her report.

“Yes?”

“Is this a detailed accounting of the last ten incursions?”

“Yeah. You said you wanted to know. I didn’t want my trauma to interfere with that.”

I glanced up at her. “Thank you, Sun. This is really good intel right here.”

Sunny’s nose tip went pink. “You’re welcome.”

“I gotta ask though, when did you have time to compile all this info?”

Sunny cleared her throat. “When you two were—”

My eyes went wide as I realized what she was about to say. “Nope, never mind, pretend I didn’t ask.”

Sunny laughed. “It’s not a big deal, Eden. I just threw on my headphones and started researching.”

I didn’t want to think about it. Instead, I flipped ahead to her summary. “Looks like every incursion follows a pretty standard procedure.”

“They do. I just wanted to be sure since I’d only been to one before.”

According to Sunny’s research, there’d be a formal introduction, where members of each clan would come down the stairs to be introduced, then dancing and food, followed by a ceremonial blood exchange between two mated members of each clan. And while all that was happening, BDD’s team would be watching out for any threats, and protecting the safes Titus would assume the Tzarina’s Diamond was in.

“Will B have men in my studio, just in case?”

Sunny nodded. “It’s likely they are already there so as not to draw too much attention on the night of the incursion.”

Right.Well, that made sense, but I wasn’t so sure I liked the idea of having strange security dudes in my studio.

“You look worried,” Sunny commented, wiping a crumb off her black skirt.

“Not worried. I just don’t like the thought of gross security guys going through my underwear drawer.”

Sunny looked absolutely appalled. “Eden, our security teams are well-trained and respected members of King Julian’s guard. They would never disrespect you in such a way.”

“You sure?”

“Yes! Girl, what kind of men have you been hanging around?”

I chuckled at her surprise. “The wrong kind, apparently.”
