Possessive Alien’s Mate by Luna Hunter

Chapter Five

Viliana

I wakeup having slept blissfully. I can’t recall a single time in my life I’ve slept this deeply, or felt this energetic when waking up.

I yawn, stretch, and open my eyes.

Aliyah, Naomi and Skylar are sitting at the foot of my bed and staring right at me.

“Ah! You scared me.”

“You scared us!” Naomi says. “Are you okay?!”

“I’m fine. Never better, in fact!”

“How is that even possible? I saw that beast mangle your arm!”

Thiray’s magic tongue. That’s how. He kissed me and made it all better. They don’t need to know that, though. My feelings for the alien are confusing, and the less I talk about them, the better.

“I don’t know,” I shrug. “But I’m all better now.”

“Good,” Naomi sighs.

“Yeah, we were so worried.”

I look at their faces and feel downright horrible. “You shouldn’t be worried about me. I don’t deserve it. I’m the one who dragged you into all of this.”

Skylar clears her throat.

“Yeah, about that. Some answers would be nice.”

“Skylar!” Naomi chides. “She just woke up! Give her a break!”

“Yeah, and we just got kidnapped. Do you know what that guy just told me, the freak with the black eyes? That we can never go home again. Never. He said the Uttux will hunt us down to the edge of the galaxy. And for what?” Skylar crosses her arms and looks at me. “If I’m going to be an interstellar fugitive… which does sound kinda bad-ass… then I’d like to know why.”

“Fair point. How about we get something to eat and I’ll explain everything.”

The girls nod to my relief. I need a moment to collect myself, because they’re right — I screwed the pooch on this one.

“I heard something about a replicator,” Aliyah said. “I’ll see if I can wrangle something edible out of it.”

The girls finally leave, and I get up and stretch. The room is sleek and minimalist. No furniture, no decorations, white walls. Thiray cares little for interior design. There’s a tiny window from which I can see stars steak on by.

My thoughts turn to Commander Dhauk, Tyonn, and all other Dohan. We had such big plans, and look at me now. I don’t even know if they made it out alive.

I take a quick shower in the adjacent bathroom. When I return, my clothes are gone. Thiray enters the bedroom without warning, carrying a pristine white cloth.

“Farlin, I heard you have awoken. How are you feeling? I brought you some new clothes.”

I shriek and duck behind the bed.

“I’m naked!” I scream. “Can you not knock?!”

The alien cocks his head to the side. “You are nude, yes. That is why I have brought you this dress.”

He holds it out for me. If he thinks I’m going to stand up and show him all the goods he’s dead wrong.

“Leave it on the bed or something, jeez!”

“If that is what you prefer, farlin.” He gently places the cloth on the bed. And then waits.

“You’re not going to leave?!”

“I need to know if it fits. I tailored it to your measurements, but I want to be certain it’s a comfortable fit.”

“My measurements?! I don’t even know my own measurements. How… oh, let me guess, your alien instincts again?”

“Correct.”

“Can you at least turn around?”

Thiray turns his back towards me, and I can finally stand up from my uncomfortable crouched position behind the bed. The first thing I notice is that Thiray has changed his outfit as well. The black leather armor is gone, replaced by a thin, loose-fitting black top that completely exposes his silver, muscled shoulders.

Damn. He looks good.

I turn to the garment. Let’s stop looking at the alien’s muscled shoulders while you’re buck ass naked, Viliana. I run my fingers across the smooth fabric. Is this silk?

“The garment is made from Thularan silk, yes,” Thiray explains.

“Sounds expensive.”

“Very much so. Export of the Thularan silkworm is strictly forbidden. I’d wager that no human has ever seen a dress of this kind, let alone touched it.”

The garment is so damn soft I want to smother my face in it. I carefully slide the dress over my head and the fiber hugs my body. It’s so light it feels like I’m practically naked. I admire myself in the full-length mirror and I’m stunned by how well it fits me.

“If it’s so expensive, then why are you giving it to me?”

“Do you like it?” He asks, ignoring my question.

“I love it.”

“That is why.” Thiray turns and smiles.

I haven’t seen him smile a whole lot since I met him. I like it.

“How do I look?”

“Gorgeous,” the Thaana answers.

And I believe him completely. I run my hands down the soft, gentle fabric that hugs my body perfectly. For the first time in a long, long time, I feel pretty.

“Thank you.”

“You are welcome.”

I avoid his intense gaze and look down. “What’s going to happen now?”

“I’ve spoken to Dhauk.”

My eyes flick up. “He’s okay?!”

“The Dohan Commander escaped Earth unscathed, yes. We will meet up with him soon, when we’re out of Uttux controlled space.”

“You’ll… release us, then?” I ask tentatively.

His strong brow furrows as he takes a step closer to me. “Of course, farlin.”

“You keep calling me that. What does that mean?”

I look up at him. He’s really close now. His black eyes take up all of my vision, and it feels like I’m floating.

The gorgeous alien warrior reaches out, cradles my waist, and pulls me in close. The moment he touches me I’m on fire. I feel so safe in his presence, so relaxed and protected.

“You didn’t answer my question,” I say breathlessly. “What does farlin mean?”

“This.”

He leans down and kisses me.

His hand holds the back of my neck as his magic tongue explores my mouth. I melt right into his arms, my heart racing, my stomach feeling funny.

I return the kiss and forget about everything else. Right now, I need this.

His grip on me is stronger than anything I’ve ever felt. Is that his bulge I feel pressing against me?

Thiray’s hands hike up my dress, and I’m instantly wet as hell. I need him now.

Just this once. To get it all out of my system. I want to feel him inside of me, I want that magic tongue of his to explore every inch of me.

“Viliana, are you coming?” Aliyah calls out. “We got the replicator working!”

I pull back from the intense kiss, suddenly aware of our surroundings. Thiray lets go of me instantly, as if a spell has been broken. Before I can utter a word, he turns and leaves the room.

I’m left breathing heavily and very confused.

“Coming,” I yell back weakly.

If only.
