CHAPTER 12:  Terry

Terry watched Maggie drive away, her car sputtering and jerking. He grinned, unable to believe his luck. Even as stubborn as she was, his little rabbit would have to admit she needed his help. He got into his car. That piece of junk she was driving wouldn’t make it far.

As he pulled out of the parking garage, he chuckled. His night was looking up. He drove over by her and got out of his car. “Need some help?”

“No.” She was looking at her phone. “I’m calling a tow truck.”

“Let me take care of it.” He captured her hand, pressing the button to disconnect her call.

“What are you…I was next in line.”

“I’ll take care of this.”

“I can’t let you do that.”

“Yes, you can.” He stepped closer, letting his command and control ease her worries. “I want to help you.”

“I’m not having sex with you.”

“I’m wasn’t asking.” He pulled out his phone and pressed a button. “Hey Mattie, I need you to send a tow truck to the Club. No. Not mine. A”—he stared at the car—“a blue piece of shit. You can’t miss it.”

“Stop it.” She tugged on his arm.

“Hold on.” He glanced at her. “You really don’t want me to take care of this for you?”

“No.” She bit her lip.

“Mattie, I’ll call you back. No. Don’t send the truck yet.” He hung up and looked down at her.

She wore out of style, ill-fitting clothes and drove a junk car. Money was tight and that was perfect because he had no problem spending money on his sub. However, she’d baked him cookies as a “thank you” for him saving her and taking her home. That meant she had pride. His dick began to harden. He loved a sub with pride. It was so fulfilling helping them learn to trust him with their dignity. The sex was always fantastic in these situations, but she wasn’t ready to trust him with that gift yet.

“It won’t cost anything. Mattie’s a friend.” He’d have to get Mattie on board. He wouldn’t lie to her. That was never the right way to earn trust, but he could work out some scenario with his friend—a barter of services.

“Really? He’ll tow the car for free?” She didn’t seem to believe him. “That’s some friend.”

“I’ve helped him out in the past.” That was true. He’d helped Mattie with some legal issues with the business, but he’d charged of course. He wouldn’t the next time.

“You sure?”

He nodded.

“And he’s a real mechanic?”

“Yes.” He almost laughed. “He owns Mattie’s Machines. It’s a real shop and he’s an excellent mechanic.”

“Well…” She nibbled on her lip and he fought not to bend down and lick it. “Okay then.”

“Good girl.”

She bristled a bit but she’d get used to the endearment. He dialed Mattie. “Yeah, come for the car and let me know what it’ll take to fix it.”

“I’m paying for that,” she said.

Oh, she’d pay for all of it, but not with money. He nodded at her. “No, the keys will be in it. I don’t want to hear that you can’t pick up an abandoned car. Hold on.” He held the phone out and snapped a picture of her vehicle and another one of her plate. He pressed a few buttons. “I texted you the pictures. Now, you know what car it is.” He laughed. “I told you it was a piece of shit.”

“Hey.”

He ignored her. “Yeah, call me. Tomorrow is fine.” He hung up the phone and put it in his pocket. He walked to the other side of his car and opened the door. “Maggie.” It was a command and she really didn’t have many options.

“You’re taking me to my house, right?”

Oh, his little rabbit had a lot to learn. “I’ll take you wherever you want to go.”

“Home. I want to go home.”

“Are you sure? You sound like you’re convincing yourself.”

“I’m not. I mean, I am sure. I have to go home.”

Have to, not want to. That was an improvement. “Then, I’ll take you home.” He’d rather their first time be at his place but hers would do. Right now, he’d probably agree to a fast fuck in the car. He’d been spoiled by the Club. Everyone in the place was looking for sex. Yes, there were often negotiations and sometimes it took several days, but the outcome was never in question. With Maggie, he wasn’t one hundred percent sure they were going to have sex, tonight or ever. He was ninety-nine percent sure, but not one hundred and that one percent of uncertainty was killing him.

“Th-thank you.” She got into the car and he shut the door.

Tonight, his little rabbit would be his. He walked to the driver’s side and got in, glancing at her. “Relax.”

He reached across the car and took her hand. Hers was so small compared to his. He hadn’t wanted to protect or take care of a woman like this in years.
