Until Kelly by Vera Quinn

Acknowledgments & Author’s Note

I would like to thank Aurora Rose Reynolds for giving me the opportunity to write in her Happily Ever Alpha world. Until Sage is a book that stuck with me after I read it. I love all the books in the series and recommend them to anyone that loves a great love story but Until Sage is by far my favorite and I had such fun writing this book. I would also like to thank Jessica Marin who gives the best advice and was a tremendous help during the process.

This book was a joy to write. I have always wanted to give Trask a voice and a story. He was such a great character in Comfort Side of Heaven, and he deserved his turn.

I also need to say thank you to my editor, Maggie Kern, because without her help my writing would not come across as polished as it does. She’s not only my editor but a dear friend.

My Beta team Nicole, Brea, Brandy, and Vikki, you are the best. This was my first attempt at using betas and with all their help it was a breeze. I value each of your opinions and thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to help me do this book.

To all of Vera’s Cubbyhole Readers, thank you for your support and encouragement. You guys are the best.

A special thank you to all the readers that take a chance on the books that I put out. I appreciate every message that I receive supporting me.

Special mention and a little sharing…

As some of you know, my oldest granddaughter was married this year. When she met her now husband, we all knew that he was an incredibly special young man. You see, when he started dating my granddaughter, he told her that he wanted to court her so she would know his intentions were of the serious nature and not just casual dating. He courted her with chaperones on their dates. He treated her like a lady, and he behaved in a gentlemanly way.

The scavenger hunt that Trask did in Until Kelly came from this young man because the day he proposed, he sent her on a scavenger hunt of all their dates. At the end, she was brought to a venue close to their home. Inside the house on the floor were Post-it notes and rose petals. On the Post-it notes were his thoughts of my granddaughter throughout their courtship. He took her out to a gazebo that was lit up and proposed. Yes, all of the families were hiding away in rooms, so we could watch but we couldn’t hear anything said so they still had their privacy. My granddaughter got her fairy tale proposal and even though COVID-19 was raging, and the groom contracted it, they had their dream wedding in a smaller size. True romance does exist, and my new grandson showed that to his woman.
