I’d like to note a special thank you here to Kelsi and Jay, both of whom so candidly shared their experiences with me. I know that each individual’s experiences with PTSD, adjusting to civilian life, and living as an amputee are vast and varied. What I’ve written here represents but a sliver of what people are living with on a day-to-day basis, but these two individuals gave me a special peek into their personal history and I wouldn’t have felt comfortable writing this book without their invaluable feedback. I feel so honored that they both entrusted me with their stories.
