Epilogue
Pop again
Gutter
I pull my bike up to the office dressed in a suit, ready for my morning meetings. When I see Cage, Brick and King’s bikes parked out front, I pull a face, my meetings this morning don't involve any of them. Pop is still blowing in the wind, so things have been tense with the club and around the clubhouse.
I swing my leg over my bike and stroll into the office. I can't help the smile that breaks out on my face when I see Terry at the front desk, talking away. He's proven to be a big help around here with his attention to detail and organization.
He still has his clothing line. As a matter of fact, Cage has invested in him to start the Lost Souls Apparel Collection. Terry has designed a full-out biker line. When he's not entertaining buyers in our back room as if it's a showroom, he's at our reception desk helping to book clients with the new system Sal built.
Go figure, he fits right in with the Lost Souls family. Sal is super protective of him, and it was her idea for him to come and work for me, that way she would know I always have an eye on him. After a month of recovery in the hospital, Terry was ready to get on with his life. He'd spent nearly six months hiding out with us and neglecting his real life, I couldn't blame him for wanting to find a place of his own so he could start the healing process and start his life over again.
“Your nine o'clock is here and you have a few visitors in your office,” Terry informs me as I walked past his desk.
I head to my office first. When I step through the door, I find King sitting behind my desk with his feet up. Cage sits across from him as Brick stares at his phone, looking like his head is about to explode.
“You're gonna want to see this,” he says to King and hands over the phone.
“Has she lost her fucking mind?” King roars and jumps up from my seat.
He pats Brick on the back. “Dad, let's roll out, looks like you're gonna get to put an end to Pop today.”
They storm from my office, and I get the feeling that this isn't going to be a quiet day. Whatever Brick showed King on that phone was only the start to more drama, I can feel it in my bones. One thing I know, you can never say it's quiet around the Lost Souls, there's always something lurking right around the corner.
