Jekyll was quiet… well, quieter than usual as he drove us to the gravesite. It had taken almost a month for the coroner to release Scrappy’s body to his mother for burial, so this day had been a long time coming.
Mina was spending the night at Walker House, and she surprisingly didn’t fight us on it. It may have been the promise that Bellamy would be with her, and they would be having ice cream sundaes for dessert, with ten kinds of ice cream to choose from.
We’d suffered through the ridiculously long funeral service. Jekyll and I had sat near the front, but far enough from the casket not to see Scrappy. Scrappy’s mother had insisted on an open casket, and for the life of me, I had no idea why, but I, personally, didn’t want to see his dead body.
I didn’t want to see anyone’s dead body, and I’d made that very clear.
The whole thing was sad. Sadder than I could have imagined, because a mother had lost her son and a brother had lost his only sibling, and the mother had made it known that she didn’t want Scooby, whose real name was Crew, anywhere near the club, lest he end up like Scrappy, whose real name was Otis.
Sundance had received the full measure of her anger and grief, along with a few of her flying fists, but never once had he reciprocated or avoided her rage. He took all of it, letting her tire herself out before holding her so she didn’t collapse.
He’d guided her to a chair, then Scooby and Scrappy’s closest friends (including Jekyll) carried the casket to the awaiting hearse.
I hobbled my way behind them, waiting by my car for Jekyll, who helped me in and then followed the hearse. My leg was almost back to normal. Jekyll had insisted I bring my crutches today since it would be a long one and he worried I’d get tired.
I reached over my middle console and linked my fingers with his. “Whatever you need, honey.”
He gave my hand a squeeze but that was the only acknowledgement that he’d even heard me. Pulling up to the grave, Jekyll parked as close as he could, then walked to my side of the car to help me out and onto my crutches.
“I’m okay, honey,” I said.
He slammed my car door shut, then slid his hands to my arms, leaning down to get eye-to-eye with me. “I need you to hear me because I don’t have the faculties to say this over and over today, okay?”
I nodded.
“You are my priority. Yesterday, today, tomorrow. Today’s gonna fuckin’ suck, but being able to focus on you and make sure you’re okay helps distract me, so I know, baby… I know… you’re okay. But I also need you to know that the fact I’m all over you like a fuckin’ bad rash isn’t just because I don’t think you’re okay. It’s because you’re my emotional support human. Okay?”
I smiled, kissing him quickly. “Okay.”
“Love you.”
“Love you, too.”
He kissed me again, then we headed to join the crowd where Jekyll made sure I had one of the few seats set up in front of the grave.
He joined the rest of the pallbearers, and they carried the casket to the grave, setting it on the straps that would eventually lower it into the ground. A few minutes later, the entourage of bikers and mourners arrived, and I did my best to fade into the background, mostly because my leg was on fire, and I really didn’t want anyone to know.
Once everyone was gathered, the priest said a few words and then Scrappy’s mother threw a rose on the casket, followed by Scooby, and the rest of the club.
I stayed put, as did a young woman I didn’t recognize. I assumed she was with Scrappy’s mother, but when she didn’t sit beside her or drop a rose into the casket, I wondered who she might be.
Instead, she sat by me and gave me a tentative smile but didn’t say anything. She wore a black hippie type skirt, and a long cloak with a hood that covered her hair. I could tell she was blonde under the covering, and she reminded me a bit of Stevie Nicks back in her heyday.
As the crowd began to disperse, Scooby made his way over to her, leaning down to kiss her cheek. “Thanks for coming.”
“I wouldn’t miss it.”
“Are you fuckin’ kiddin’ me?” Wrath growled, and before I could register what was going on, the woman was lifted out of the seat and thrown over his shoulder.
“Wrath!” she squealed, pounding on his back. “Put me down.”
Wrath faced Scooby keeping the screaming woman firmly where she was, and jabbed a finger at him. “You! I’m gonna fuckin’ deal with you later.”
“Wrath,” the woman screamed again. “I’m going to rip your dick off if you don’t put me down.”
“Swear to Christ, Sierra, you need to shut your goddamn mouth.”
“Wrath! What the hell are you doing?”
My head whipped toward Raquel, Orion’s wife, and Sundance’s daughter-in-law, who was running toward Wrath and his captive.
“Put her down,” Raquel ordered.
“Bitch—”
Sierra pinched his side and squealed. “Don’t you dare call my best friend a bitch!”
“Wrath, put her down,” Sundance growled.
“No!” Wrath snapped like a petulant child.
Scooby, Orion, Sundance, and Jekyll all surrounded Wrath, along with a few other bikers I hadn’t met yet.
“Out of my way,” Wrath bellowed.
“Wrath, we can talk… later,” Sierra said. “Just put me down.”
“I’m not fuckin’ lettin’ you out of my sight again,” Wrath avowed.
“I’m here for a week, you big lug. I promise I won’t leave again without saying goodbye.”
Wrath adjusted her on his shoulder, giving her butt a hard smack.
“Honey, seriously,” Sierra rasped. “I can’t breathe. Let me down.”
Honey?
Well, this just got interesting. The pain in my leg was quickly forgotten as I watched the drama unfolding in front of me.
“Please,” she begged, and Wrath lowered her gently to the ground, but did not release her completely.
“You fuckin’ left,” he accused.
She nodded. “I know. I didn’t have a choice. Let’s get through today and we can talk.”
He scowled, and Sierra laid her hand on his chest. “I’m not going anywhere for the moment. I promise, we’ll talk.”
Before I could see Wrath’s response, Jekyll appeared in front of me, and I looked up at him. “Hey.”
“Hey, baby. Enjoyin’ the show?”
“Well, I was. But you’ve interrupted my programming with your sexy ass instead.”
He chuckled. “Come on. We’re heading back to the club to drink.”
“Do you happen to have any ibuprofen?”
He frowned. “You bad?”
“Little bit, yes.”
He slid his hand into his pocket and pulled out a pill. “I grabbed one of your Vicodin.”
“Bless you,” I said, taking it without water.
He cupped my face. “Don’t wait next time, got it?”
I gripped his wrists. “Yes sir.”
He kissed me quickly, then helped me to my car and drove us both back to the club.

Jekyll picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and I couldn’t stop a guffaw of laughter. It was almost midnight, and I was tipsy, bordering on drunk, after an afternoon and evening of food, drinks, and general mayhem as we all let off steam after the funeral.
“I’m gonna be sick, honey,” I warned, and Jekyll shifted me, so he was cradling me rather than carrying me like a sack of potatoes.
“Better?” he asked.
“Yes,” I said, looping my arms around his neck. “Thank you.”
He grinned, kissing me as he climbed the stairs up to his room.
“Tomorrow do I get to drive your bike?”
“What the fuck?” he asked.
I chuckled. “I knew that would get your attention. I want you to teach me to ride.”
“The only thing you’ll be doin’ on my bike is ridin’ bitch, baby.”
I wrinkled my nose. “That seems rude.”
We arrived at his room, and he set me on my feet. “If you want to learn to ride, GoGo, I’ll teach you, but it won’t be on my bike.”
“Why not?” I asked as he locked us into his room.
“Because no one rides my bike but me. More than that, however, if you can’t pick it up, you can’t ride it, and my bike weighs more than I do, so that’s not an option for you.”
“I’m strong.” I held my arms up and flexed like a body builder which made him laugh.
“I don’t doubt it, baby, but let’s find you a bike that you’ll feel more comfortable on.”
“So, you’re not saying no?”
“Why would I say no?” he challenged, removing his cut, and folding it neatly over a chair.
I shrugged. “You’re all alpha, so I wasn’t sure.”
He slid his hand to my neck and tugged me forward, kissing me gently. “I’ll move heaven and earth to make you happy, baby, so if you want to ride, I’ll teach you to ride.”
My hands went to his belt, and I unbuckled it, moving my hand under the waistband of his jeans. “Right now, you’re the only thing I want to ride.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah,” I parroted. “So, get naked and assume the position. I’m going to taste every inch of you.”
“Oh, really?” He pulled his shirt over his head, and I grinned.
“Really.”
We didn’t go through the trouble of undressing each other, rather we stripped as fast as we could, and I pushed him onto the bed, straddling him. “You have to let me finish, capisce?”
“Depends on how long you take.”
“Ah… no.”
“Ah… yeah.”
I rolled my eyes. “Hyde, my plan is to swallow, so you have to let me get that far.”
“I have never stopped you from doin’ whatever you want to me.”
“Bullshit,” I argued.
“Baby, I can’t—”
“Hyde, how much noise do you want to make before you realize you’re wrong?” I hissed out. “Just shut your pie hole and let me suck you off.”
He raised an eyebrow, then smiled slowly and spread his arms wide. “Yes, ma’am.”
“Thank you,” I said, leaning down and kissing his pulse. “You smell so good. You always smell so good.” I ran my tongue over his collar bone.
His hands moved to my ass, but I slapped them away. “No touching.”
“Jesus, I can’t touch you?”
I met his eyes. “Nope.”
“You’re askin’ too much, GoGo.”
“It’ll be worth it,” I retorted.
His arms spread again, so I figured my full body taste was gonna have to wait. He’d never be patient enough to wait that long.
I headed south, his cock already hard and ready. “You have the best looking dick.” I wrapped my lips around the tip, then took him further into my mouth.
Jekyll lifted up slightly and I wrapped my hand around the base of his dick, moving my mouth up and down slowly. Apparently, it was too much for Jekyll and I found myself lifted and dropped onto the bed with my ass in the air.
“Hey!” I snapped. “I wasn’t done.”
He slid into me from behind and as much as I didn’t want to admit it, he effectively shut me up. I braced myself on all fours and he slammed into me twice before sliding his hand between my legs and fingering my clit. I pressed back against him, and he kissed me between my shoulder blades. “You were sayin’?”
“You’re the devil.”
He buried himself deep again. “That is correct.”
I didn’t have any sass left in me as he began to move again. Harder and harder, faster and faster, until an orgasm hit me, and I fell onto the bed. He fell with me, keeping his hand on my clit which meant the mattress pushed his fingers against my body and riled me up all over again.
“Hyde,” I panted out and he moved again, slamming into me over and over until we both came, then rolling us to our sides in spoon fashion.
“Oh my god, I love you,” I whispered.
He kissed my neck. “Love you too, baby.”
“We need to do this every day.”
He laughed. “Honey, we do do this every day.”
“Oh, right. Well, let me specify. I want you to fuck me from behind every day.”
“I’ll be sure to take that under advisement.”
“Thank you. I promise my Yelp review will be positive if you make that happen.”
“Jesus.” He busted out laughing. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
Pulling out of me, he stepped into the bathroom and grabbed a warm washcloth which he used to clean me up and then he pulled me under the covers and wrapped his arms around me. “Sleep, baby. We gotta get Mina early.”
“Do you think Wrath and Sierra hashed things out?”
I’d met Sierra and then Wrath had dragged her away and I hadn’t seen her again for the rest of the night. I was dying to know what the deal with them was, but unfortunately, no one seemed to be openly sharing, so I was left to wonder.
“Go to sleep, GoGo.”
“But—”
“Indigo, it’s none of our business. Go. To. Sleep.”
“Fine.” I kissed his chest. “’Night, honey.”
“Night.”
* * *
We woke up a little earlier than expected, and despite the copious amount of alcohol I’d drunk the night before, I felt pretty good. I wrapped my arms around Jekyll and leaned up on my tiptoes to kiss him.
“What was that for?” he asked.
“Well, one, I love you, and two, thank you for making me hydrate and not mix my alcohol last night. I feel great.”
He chuckled. “You’re welcome.”
We headed downstairs and Jekyll paused at my door. “You need a bigger car.”
“Why?”
“Because when we get married and adopt Leo, Bri, and Mina, you’ll need something big enough to fit everyone. I think we should keep your car for when Leo’s drivin’—”
I gasped, grabbing his cut before promptly bursting into tears. “Say that again.”
“We’re gonna elope—”
“Not that!” I snapped, tugging on his cut.
He smiled gently, cupping my face. “We’re gonna adopt Leo, Bri, and Mina.”
“Yeah, that,” I said, sobbing into his chest. “You’d really do that for me?”
“Baby, I’m doin’ it for me, too.” He slid his hand to my neck and squeezed. “I never thought I’d be one who liked kids, let alone, loved them. But those three have fuckin’ changed my mind.”
“And me. I’ve changed your mind, too, right?”
“You changed my heart, baby, and that’s the biggest miracle of all.”
I laughed through my tears as he leaned down to kiss me.
“Now, let’s go get our kids,” he said.
“Okay.”
I climbed into the car and reached for his hand as we drove.
My heart was full, and my world was perfect.
