My Arrogant Boss by Kylie King

Epilogue

FINN

Life felt much better now that I had Rachel. I was a happier man and never thought I’d see the day I settled down, yet there I was. I wrapped up on my last conference call before packing my work bag and leaving my office.

“Heading out, Mr. Weston?”

“I am, Audrey. I’ll see you Monday.”

“Have a great night!”

I took the elevator to the private parking deck and slid into my car, checking the time on my Versace watch before pulling out of the deck and heading downtown.

Once I’d reached my destination, I parked in front of the restaurant and climbed out, handing my keys to the valet. And when I entered, there she was.

My woman, Rachel Quinn. She was standing in the waiting area, dressed in a sleeveless gray dress and black heels. Her hair was pinned up, but several blonde tendrils hung around her face and at the nape of her neck. She turned her head when the door opened and when she spotted me, a wide, bright smile swept across her lips. I loved seeing her smile for the first time of any day. I loved knowing she looked forward to seeing me just as much as I did her.

“Hey, beautiful,” I murmured in her ear, greeting her with a full hug and kiss. I hadn’t seen her all week. She had to do work with her agency in New York for a few days. She’d left the previous company to start her own three months after we officially declared how much we wanted to be together, and her company had been soaring ever since.

She was great at her job and, seeing as everyone loved us as a couple, and we attended many events together now, it wasn’t hard for her to win over a few of the big dogs so her company could flourish. I was positive that even without me, she would have found success.

“I missed you,” she said, looking up at me. “Work is kicking our asses, huh?”

“It is, but it’ll never stop me from being with the woman I love.”

She laughed and held me around the neck. “Wow. Who knew Finn Weston could utter such romantic words?”

“What can I say? You bring out the romantic in me, babe.”

She tossed her head back to laugh, and I kissed her throat. When the hostess called our names and sat us at our tables, I felt like the luckiest man alive. I was sitting across from the most beautiful woman I’d ever met, a woman I couldn’t keep my eyes or hands off of.

I didn’t think I would end up with someone like her. I thought we’d be enemies for life, always at each other’s throats, but I was wrong. Turns out, we’d misunderstood one another. We had much more in common than I ever could have imagined, and I was glad to have found a partner in her.

Now, we were on the same page, and we were making the most of our love. There was no going back for me. Rachel Quinn was my one, and I was going to be hers forever.
