CHAPTER 24:  Maggie

Why did these things happen to her? Maggie needed to change her life, take care of herself instead of always relying on a man and the first guy she was attracted to was a dominant—the exact wrong kind of guy for the new Maggie.

Terry said, “A good dom, one who’s worthy of you—”

“I’m not a submissive.” She wasn’t going to wear a dog collar and let him tie her up or spank her. She shifted on her seat, trying to ease the throbbing between her thighs. She’d been curious about kinky sex ever since reading Fifty Shades of Grey.

“Takes care of his sub,” continued Terry.

He went on as if she hadn’t spoken, as if she didn’t matter. It was exactly like David had treated her. She wasn’t starting a relationship or even a fling with another self-absorbed asshole. She had her kids to think about. If David ever found out about this, he might take them away, especially if Terry were into that kinky stuff.

“He sees to her needs. All of them. Both in the bedroom and out of it.” His hungry eyes roamed over her body.

“I don’t need you to take care of me.” She wasn’t falling into that trap again.

“Of course, you don’t but wouldn’t you like me to? Just for a little bit.” He leaned forward. “Here, in this house, you’ll be mine. You’ll do what I say and I’ll take care of everything. You won’t have any worries.”

“What about making you happy? Isn’t that the worry of the submissive?”

“No. The sub obeys and that makes the dom happy. It’s very simple. All you have to do is what I tell you. Nothing more and nothing less. All decisions are gone. All choices are made by me.” He stood and walked toward her.

She sank back into the chair. It was like watching a predator—a tall, strong, sexy predator—approach except he wasn’t going to kill her. He was going to make her feel alive, like a woman again.

He knelt before her. “All you have to do is relax and I’ll take care of everything.” His hands were on her knees, sending heat rushing through her body. “Forget about the car.” He leaned forward and kissed her, a light brushing of his lips on hers. “Forget about the job you hate.”

“H-how do you know I hate my job?”

He smiled. “Because I know you. Your job isn’t a career. It’s a means to an end. You’d rather be home taking care of your house, your children.” He kissed her again, his hands sliding back and forth on her thighs going farther up with each pass. “Forget about your ex and money problems. Forget everything.” Now, his lips were near her ear. “Doesn’t that sound good.”

She nodded. It sounded perfect and she wanted it—this moment of nothing but the feelings he stirred inside her. Here, she could shed her responsibilities and just be a woman with desires.

“Say it, Maggie. I need to hear you say it.”

“Yes.”

“Yes, Master.”

“Master?” She didn’t like that.

“You may call me sir, if you prefer that over master.” He nipped her ear. “Just in here. Just with me.”

It didn’t mean anything. It wouldn’t hurt anyone and his lips felt so good. “Yes, Sir.”
