CHAPTER 23:  Terry

Terry opened the door and followed Maggie inside, his eyes on her ass. He wanted to grab her and fuck her against the door, but his little rabbit was too timid for that. Later, she’d trust him enough to follow his lead. He closed the door and she jumped.

The old dog he’d adopted from Nick trotted over to them and he reached down to rub Beast’s ear.

“You have a dog?”

“Yes.” It was insulting that his friends and now, Maggie were surprised that he liked dogs. He was crass and could be a jerk but who didn’t like dogs?

Maggie held out her hand and the dog sniffed it and then nudged her for attention. “What’s his name?”

“Beast.”

“Beast?” She grinned. “He doesn’t look like a beast. He’s a sweetheart.” She bent so she could pet the dog and Beast rested his head against her chest.

Suddenly, he was jealous of his dog. He wanted his face pillowed on her breasts. “Not like vicious beast, but lazy beast. Good for nothing beast.” He scratched the dog’s head, letting his fingers trail down the dog’s muzzle and closer to her gorgeous tits.

“Well, I think he’s sweet.” She stood, eyeing him suspiciously.

“He is and so are you.” Normally, he’d offer his partner a drink to ease the tension but he was a little leery that if he left her to her thoughts too long, she’d change her mind. He walked up behind her and put his hands on her shoulders, running them down her arms as he leaned forward and kissed her neck. “Relax.”

“I’m…sorry.” She stepped forward, away from him. “I-I don’t think I can do this. I thought I could. I wanted to but…”

Damn. He should’ve fucked her in his car. Mattie wouldn’t have said anything. The mechanic actually had a spot in the back of his lot just for that. According to him, women who fucked mechanics liked to do it in cars. “Don’t be sorry.” He moved toward her but she took a step back so he adjusted his destination and walked into the living room. He poured two drinks—his scotch and a glass of wine for her.

“I should go.”

“Nonsense. Let’s talk first and then I’ll take you home.” Or to heaven, he prayed it’d be the latter. He moved over to her and handed her the wine.

“I shouldn’t.”

“One glass isn’t going to hurt you.”

“No, but—”

“I’m not trying to get you drunk so I can have my way with you.” He grinned. “I like my women cognizant and completely willing, eager actually.”

She flushed and he chuckled.

“Sit and we can talk about this like adults.”

“Okay.” She sat on the edge of one of the chairs in the living room.

“Why are you scared?”

“I’m not scared.”

Liar. She was terrified. “Do you know anything about dominance and submission?”

Her eyes widened. “A little. That’s with whips and stuff, right?”

“It can be.” He watched her closely. He’d planned on fucking her for a few weeks before they’d try any of those things, but she’d liked the swat he’d given her in the parking lot. He’d never met a more natural submissive, even if she were fighting it at the moment. He took a sip of his drink. “But it’s more about control.”

“Yeah, the dom has it all.”

“No. The real power belongs to the submissive.” That was true to a point. A good dom knew how to train a sub so that she or he willingly gave up control and just rode the waves of pleasure.

“Right. I’ve seen 50 Shades of Grey.”

“And who had the true power in that story? She did. She wrapped Grey around her little finger.”

“Yes, but that was the fiction part. I doubt that happens in real life.”

Usually not, but he decided to remain silent on that one. His little rabbit thought she’d be happier as a fox. He’d give her some rein while showing her that she was perfect as she was. “I’m a dom.”

Her hand trembled slightly as she took a big gulp of wine. “That settles it, because I’m not a submissive.”

“Of course not.” Oh, she was. “But wouldn’t you like to be…to try it?”

“No. I let David do whatever he wanted and…” She took another drink of her wine. “This is really good.” She drank more, not wanting to finish her sentence.

She didn’t need to say the words. Her ex had hurt her badly—her self-esteem, her confidence in herself and as a woman. It was time to start fixing all that. “I’m glad you like it. I bought it for you.”

“You did? Why?”

“Because I want to be your dom but before you compare me to David again, listen to what a good dom does and is.” Now, he had to sell it and then she’d be putty in his hands.
