The Dom’s Submission: Complete Series by Ellis O. Day
CHAPTER 22: Terry
Terry sat in Ethan’s office watching Nick fume. He couldn’t help it; he was enjoying this. The younger man was a fool in love and he was damn lucky to have fallen for someone like Sarah. He glanced at her. She was calm and composed while Nick ranted.
“Damnit Sarah, I’m not signing this.” He threw the papers on the table. “We don’t need a prenup.”
“I do.” She stared up at him from the couch. “I need one. I need you to sign one.”
He squatted in front of her. “My parents didn’t have one. Your parents didn’t have one.”
“Our parents married when they were younger, just starting out. They had nothing to protect.”
“I’m not signing it.”
“Then, I’ll sign and file the first one. Since it has nothing to do with your assets, I don’t need you signature.” Her jaw took on a stubborn tilt.
“No.” Nick stood. “That’ll leave you with nothing.”
“Nick, sign the damn prenup.” He took a sip of his scotch. “She’s got you neatly backed in a corner.”
“Shut the fuck up, Terry. This is your fault.”
“Oh no. You aren’t blaming me for this.” He tipped his glass at Sarah. “She came up with this brilliant plan all on her own.”
“Sarah…” Nick glared at her before storming away.
“I’m doing this for us.” She walked over to him, her hand running up and down his back. “Please. Sign the papers. This’ll protect both of us.”
Nick turned to face her. “I’m marrying you forever. Don’t you feel the same?”
“I do.” She stood on tiptoe and kissed him. “But things can change.”
“I won’t stop loving you.”
“I know.” She kissed him again, but this one was a little longer and deeper. “Then, this will all be for nothing. It doesn’t hurt either of us to have them.”
Nick took a deep breath. “Fine, but you’ll pay for making me do this.”
“I was counting on that.” She grinned.
Terry looked away, the love and devotion on their faces making him sick with envy.
Nick scratched his name on the papers and so did Sarah. Ethan and Patrick signed as witnesses.
“Good. That’s done.” Sarah’s lawyer took her set of the papers. “I’ll file these on Monday.”
“Agreed.” Terry slid his copies of the documents into his briefcase.
She stood. “Goodnight.”
“You’re welcome to stay and enjoy the Club.” Ethan’s gaze took in the lawyer’s long legs and slender form.
“Thanks. I may take you up on that, but first, I want to take these to my office.” She tapped her briefcase.
“Hope to see you later,” said Ethan.
She smiled at him as she left.
It looked like Ethan’s night was planned. He hadn’t felt like sticking around to play cards anyway. He stood. “Well, that’s enough for me. Goodnight.”
“You’re leaving?” Ethan turned on the monitors that showed him the Club.
“Yep.”
“It’s Friday night,” said Sarah.
“So.” He was in no mood to be around the couples or go into the Club.
“Ah, Annie’s here.” Patrick moved closer to the screen.
“That’s wonderful.” Why the fuck did he care? He started for the door.
“She brought a friend,” said Patrick.
“Good for her. You guys are finally going to do a ménage. Great. Have fun.”
“Oh, I don’t think that’s in the cards, but this lady might be in for some punishment.” Patrick grinned. “Her hair is in a ponytail.”
“Fabulous.” He hesitated at the door. They were all looking at him. Something was wrong.
“You may want to check out Annie’s friend.” Patrick gave him a smug look.
“You didn’t.” He strode across the room to the monitor. “Sonofabitch.” It was Maggie. “You brought her here?”
“I didn’t.” Patrick backed away, hands up by his chest. “Annie did but Maggie wanted to come. It seems she got a taste of kink and wants more.” He grinned. “I wonder who can help her with that?”
“It fucking won’t be Richard.” The other man was at the bar talking to the women. He was a suave, sophisticated, rich bastard. One of Terry’s good friends but Richard was not getting his hands on Maggie.
