Her Titans by Genevieve Jasper

They ruin everything. She definitely would have come for Lia if she’d known. I didn’t know they had someone intercepting her mail. I would’ve made the clues more obscure. When I heard them planning their assault, I left. Lia was nothing to me anyway. I practically forgot she was there, the anticipation buzzing in my veins, waiting for Madelaine to arrive. She fought me off well last time, I was proud of her. My fighter. But that’s okay, these have just been dress rehearsals.

I’ll need to preoccupy the Titans for the big finale and give her a reason to stay. Maybe if she hears my explanation, she’ll understand. I’m just waiting for the perfect opportunity. Even with both gangs now on my tail. It was a necessary evil, involving Causus’s girl, but other people aren’t relevant. Madelaine is the sun, and everyone else revolves around her.
