Dear Reader

For everyone who’s ever had the thought: “the world would be better off without me…” If you’re reading this, it means you’re still with us, for which I’m grateful. Every person in the world makes a difference, no matter how big or small. A smile. A random compliment. It all has an impact on others. Which means you’ve had a positive effect on someone too. So, thank you for continuing to get up and fight your demons. You’re a rock star!

Thank you for downloading a copy of Fox (Hades Abyss MC)! I appreciate your support. If you have a spare minute and would like to share your thoughts about Fox and Raven, I hope you’ll take a moment to leave a rating or review at the retailer of your choice.

For those of you who have read the Reckless Kings MC series, you already knew a little of what Raven had been through, as she’s mentioned in Ranger’s book. I know the topics in this book are difficult for some to read. Sadly, there’s ugliness in the world. Monsters are real, and they look just like you and me.

Want to know more about the other old ladies in the Hades Abyss MC? Spider and Luciana’s story is told in book 1. You can read more about Rocket and Violeta in book 2. Slider meets Vasha in a rather unconventional way in book 3, and that’s where you also find out more about why the club thought Slider and Surge had something going on.

Raven went through hell. My goal with her story was simple… I wanted to show there can be light on the other side. No matter how rough the road is you’ve traveled, good things can still come your way. For Raven, having a kind man, someone willing to let her explore and be in control, was a way for her to begin the healing process. Not everyone reacts to violence in the same fashion. What was right for Raven might not be the correct path for someone else. It doesn’t make Raven’s decisions wrong, just different.

While Raven did try to take her own life, someone found her and attempted to save her. Not everyone has a random stranger, or a family member, who will find them in time. If you or someone you know have thoughts of self-harm, please reach out to someone! In the US, we have a National Suicide Prevention Hotline. It’s free and confidential. You may feel alone. Misunderstood. Unaccepted. Someone out there cares. You are not alone! In our darkest hours, it’s often hard to believe anyone will notice if we’re gone. We tell ourselves everyone will be better off if we’re not around. How do I know? I’ve told myself those same things. I’ve battled depression, and later bipolar disorder, since my teen years. I still have bad days mixed in with the good. It’s a fight I’ll have for the rest of my life.

Thank you again for reading Fox and Raven’s story!

Until next time…

Harley

Thank you to the staff at Changeling Press for believing in me and helping me make Fox the best it could be. Special thanks to Bryan Keller, who always seems to make the perfect covers for me.

Thank you to the Wyldlings! Your support means so much to me. You guys are awesome!

Thank you to the friend who called at just the right time on one of my darkest days a long time ago. Without them, I wouldn’t be here. I’d have never completed a book. Never gotten married or had kids. They didn’t realize what they were doing when they talked to me for an hour or more that day, but they saved my life.

Thank you to my family for believing in me. I’d especially love to thank my Meemaw, even though she’s not with us anymore. She was also a writer and I miss our conversations about books and writing. She’d challenge me without even realizing it. Or maybe she did know… Wish she was here now.

Thank you to Sirius and Lupin for all the kitty kisses and cuddles but lying on top of me when I say I need to get up and work isn’t the least bit helpful.
