“So, what did Frank find out?”Titan asks after we’ve cleaned up from the best sex I’ve ever had in my lifetime. We’re in the kitchen, both of us drinking a bottled water from the fridge.
“He wanted to know more about you.”
“Me?” Titan glances around. “Want something stronger? Whiskey?”
“Sure.”
“That’s my girl.” Titan opens another cupboard, looking for two glasses. “So, what did you tell Frank about me?”
“Not much. I don’t really know much about you. I just said you’re a silent guy who keeps to yourself.”
“Did you tell him about what I do for a living?”
I shake my head, remembering my conversation with Frank and him asking me what Titan Henry does for work. “I told him you retired.” And it’s the truth. I told Frank that.
“What did he say about Steele and Gunner?”
“He said he found out Gunner owns a company by the name of GMM, Inc.”
“What does that company do?” Titan asks, handing me a glass of whiskey.
I shrug. “It’s obviously a front company. Something to hide his illegal activity.”
Titan takes a sip of his drink. “Obviously. I just wish I knew how he got mixed up in all of this.”
I set my glass down, not yet taking a sip. “We’ll figure it out together.”
Titan wraps his powerful arms around me. “I really like you a whole lot.”
“I like you too.” I kiss his chest as he holds me close.
“Blue,” he leans me back so he can stare into my eyes, “I don’t want to lose you.”
Warmth rushes through my veins. “I don’t want to lose you either.”
“Let me text this info over to Rogue.”
While he steps away to get his phone, I pick up my drink and take a tiny sip. I’ve never been one for whiskey.
I think about Titan.
About Titan owning me.
How did he feel when he bought me?
Those thoughts dissipate when Titan picks me up and tosses me over his shoulder. “I want to have my wicked way with you once more tonight before we go hunting Steele.”
And he does. Over and over again.
My skin is crawling, and not in the exquisite goosebump kind of way from earlier when we had sex. Titan and I are back in the club where we first met, and I spot the women on stage, waiting for someone to purchase them, wishing I could save them all.
Our story is Titan is looking to buy another woman. So far, it’s working. No one’s even questioned us as we walk into the dimly lit bar.
I try to act like a sex slave, being led around the place by my master, walking with my head down, following closely behind Titan.
He’s so big and strong, I feel like he’s my protector or something.
And I like feeling protected by him. Even though we haven’t known each other that long, I can picture a life together.
A future.
Him in his garden.
Me writing the novel I’ve always wanted to write.
Us living together, enjoying each other every chance we get.
I yearn for the closeness of another human being. But not just anyone… him.
He reaches for my hand, and leads me to the bar. He orders me a vodka and soda, and we sit on the barstools, spinning them so we have a good view of the stage.
“Any sign of Steele or Marble?”
Titan looks around. “Not yet.” His mesmerizing eyes land on me, and he gives me a soft smile.
There’s something so irresistible about this man that I just can’t take it anymore.
I want to take him to a back room and have my dirty way with him.
But I squeeze my thighs together, trying my best to let go of the insatiable need I have for him.
“What are you thinking about?” he asks me with a grin, like he can read my mind.
“You don’t want to know.”
He leans closer, his eyes darkening. “Oh, hell yes, I do.”
I whisper in his ear. “Just about what we did earlier but doing it here instead.”
His smile drops, his eyes growing serious. “I’d love nothing more than to take you into some broom closet and fuck you silly, but look,” he nods toward the door, “Steele and Gunner just got here.”
I pout, but it’s for the best. We’re here for a mission not to goof off in some random closet. “Are you going to talk to him?”
He nods. “Yes.”
“Like a random meeting?”
He shakes his head. “He’s never gonna buy the story I bought a girl, but I’m just gonna have to go with it.”
“I agree. Because you really bought me knowing nothing.”
His eyes rake over my body. “Exactly. And I’ve been thinking. If he’s gone to the dark side, who’s saying I haven’t as well?”
“Very true.”
“Can you stay here and out of trouble?”
“Yes, sir,” I murmur.
“Good.” He kisses me on the cheek. “I’ll be right back.”
He stalks toward Steele and Gunner with not a single worry in the world. That kind of confidence is so sexy to me.
I can’t get enough of him.
