His Revenge by Charlene Raquel

Chapter Fifteen

“What the fuck?” Drew didn’t touch the page when he read it; he just left it where it had been placed under her pillow.

He jogged out of the room to get the others. He needed to be quick because if Gwen came out in a towel again and Rip or one of the other guys were there, he would be in serious trouble.

“There’s something you need to see.” Drew went into the kitchen, grabbed the tongs and a large gallon-sized plastic zipper locked bag.

Boomer noticed the things that Drew gathered but didn’t say a word. He simply followed after Drew along with the others.

“I didn’t touch it and I doubt Gwen did either.”

Jeff took the tongs from Drew and used them to pick up the paper. They took turns examining the document, but the only thing written on it was the one line of script. It was a heavy-weight, creamed-colored paper stock, which might be easy to trace. “Good job, Drew.”

The water turned off and Drew pushed everyone from the room. He pulled off all of the bedding and threw it on the floor. He knew Gwen wouldn’t want to sleep on a bed that someone had touched. Who knew what had really happened in her house and bedroom?

She was going to be irritated with him, but she could not stay there until a security system was installed.

Gwen came out of the bathroom in a pair of faded blue skinny jeans and a red, sleeveless V-neck.

Drew took a minute to just stare at her. Wet hair, no make-up, and bare feet. She was perfect.

He pulled her into his arms and claimed her mouth.

She giggled and pulled back from him when she needed to suck in some air. “What was that for?”

“No reason. I just wanted to kiss my woman.”

Gwen smiled up at him until she noticed the bed. “What happened?”

“Maybe you want to put on some socks and shoes and come out to the living room first.”

“Now you’re scaring me.”

“It’s okay. Now.”

“Now?”

“Gwen. Please.”

Gwen grabbed some low socks and her sneakers and followed Drew into the living room. All of their heads were crowded around something that was on the kitchen counter. “What’s going on? I hate being the last one to find out stuff.”

Jeff slid the plastic bag to her. “Don’t open it, but this is what Drew found under your pillow.

“What? It was under my pillow?” Gwen stopped and then paled. “You didn’t find anything gross, did you? Do I have to burn everything in my room? No wonder Drew pulled everything off my bed.”

She walked a few steps away and rubbed her arms. At first the flowers were a novelty. In theory, she knew someone had placed them in her house without her knowing, but they were flowers. Not logical, but she didn’t feel threatened by flowers. Maybe that was what the person wanted.

Her brain understood the violation, but it did not sink in until she discovered that someone had been touching her bed. Moving her pillow. What else could someone have done?

She turned to face Drew. “I can’t stay here. These need to go. All of them every last flower needs to be put into the trash.”

Drew rubbed her arms for her. “We’ll find who did this.”

Gwen gazed into his eyes. “You don’t think Dominic was behind it?”

“No, I don’t.”

She nodded. “Neither do I and here’s why.” She told them about what he had said and how he acted around her. No one said a word for several minutes.

Boomer started dumping water from the vases into the sink. “We’ll help you clean up before we head back to our house.”

Rip held up his hand to her. “Before you freak out on us. You and Sam can’t stay here without a security system. It’s too late today to install one. We’ll get it done first thing tomorrow. We’ll also get someone to sweep the place for bugs and get rid of all these flowers.”

“Bugs!” Gwen screeched. “We don’t have bugs in here.”

“Electronic ones, babe.”

“Oh. Yeah. That would be good.” She shivered just thinking about someone putting up a camera to spy on her. Why was this happening?

Jeff grabbed the note from the counter. “Get packed up, ladies. You’re staying with us tonight.”

~*~*~

“Babe, I have to go out for a bit tonight.” Drew didn’t want to leave Gwen, but he needed to follow through on his plans with Adrian.

“What’s going on?” Gwen sat crossed legged on the bed that Drew and she had shared before in Jeff’s house. She had only a couple of days of freedom and wound up back at the very place she started. Things needed to end, or she was going to lose it on one of the guys and she really didn’t want to scream like a shrew.

Drew was looking toward the door and not at Gwen, telling her that he wanted to escape the conversation. “What did you do, Drew?”

He sighed and sat next to her on the bed, lacing his fingers with hers. “I’m going to wear an earpiece and I’ll have a tracker, so you don’t have to worry.”

Gwen shot off the bed, pulling her hand from his. “Are you kidding? When you start off with ‘you don’t have to worry,’ what do you think I’m going to immediately do?”

Drew held up his hands. “You don’t have to worry. The guys have my back.”

Gwen folded her arms over her chest. “Start talking. I’ll decide how mad I am at you after you’re done.”

“Gwen, baby. We need this done. For you and for me.” Drew reached over to pull her to him. She stiffly allowed him to loop his arms around her. He sat back on the bed, bringing her flush against him, between his legs.

“Drew.”

He groaned. “I’m meeting with Adrian. Wait. Let me finish. I didn’t get a chance to tell you earlier with everything that happened, but I’m making him think he can recruit me to his side.”

“What exactly does that mean? What are you doing?”

“I’m not sure. That’s why the tracker and the communications device.” Drew pulled her into his lap, and she thankfully let him. He needed to hold her. “I’m meeting him at the football stadium at ten.”

“You need to take someone with you.” She was going to say that she wanted to go with him, but she knew he would never go for it. He should at least have one of their own personal commandos at his back.

“Rip is going to shadow me. They told me he’s like a ghost and can blend in anywhere.” He looked the youngest of the guys and was teased about being a perpetual teenager.

“You should have told me.”

Drew nuzzled her neck. “I’ll be back soon. I promise to be really careful and I’m planning on crawling into bed with you when I’m done.” He kissed her neck and grinned when goosebumps broke out on her skin. “I won’t be opposed to finding you naked.”

Gwen pulled back to look into his eyes. “Please be careful. I know you need to do this to find out what happened to your brother, but it’s dangerous.”

Drew crushed his lips to hers and slipped his hand into her yoga pants. He found her wet, hot center and stroked her along her sleek folds. Just when she started to lean into his hand, he slipped his fingers free and ended the kiss.

“That wasn’t nice.”

He pressed his hard length against her. “Trust me I’ll be thinking about this as much as you will be.”

Gwen flipped the button open on his jeans, pulled the zipper down and quickly freed him from his boxer briefs.

“Sunshine, we don’t have time for this.” He might have said that, but he made no move to stop her.

She knelt down and licked along the length of him, taking him into her mouth and right back out. “Now you have something to think about.” Gwen popped back up with a smirk on her face. “Love you, Drew.”

Drew shook his head as he carefully stuffed his extremely hard dick back into his now too tight jeans and attempted to zip it back up without injuring himself. “Now, I’m going to walk funny when I leave this room.”

She went to move past him, but he grabbed her hand and yanked her to him. Drew thrust his hands into her hair and kissed her with all of the love he possessed. “Love you, Sunshine. I’ll be back soon.”
