Claiming Them by Rosa Mink

Chapter 8

Luca

The front door of the shop opens, and my head turns, only half of the smile that was appearing popping out when I see it’s just Olivia.  Nothing against my sister, but I was hoping like hell it’d be my girl.

“Well, maybe I shouldn’t warn you,” she states crossing her arms with a little smirk on her face.

“Warn me about what?  Is Rylee okay?” I ask anxiously.  We haven’t told the others about the baby just yet.  It’s been two weeks of perfection with her.  She’s been here at the shop usually three days a week keeping everything in line.  The other artists love her, and I love seeing her blossoming further.

I also love her sexy, needy side blossoming further as well.  The first time I tried to cut her a check she tore it up then locked the office door with a grin at me.  Her fingers slid the skirt she was wearing up, her legs parting as she crooked her finger at me.

Fuck if that woman didn’t have me practically crawling on my knees to get to her.  She pushed her underwear to the side and said if I really wanted to pay her, it’d be with my tongue.

I love the way her mouth has grown dirtier each time we’re together.  So, if my girl wants to be paid in orgasms, she’ll get it.  And the house of her dreams.

I found it two days after she told me what she wanted and I’m working on buying it as we speak.  I want to surprise her with it and my ring.  No way is she getting away from me.

“I haven’t seen or talked to Rylee today, so I’m sure she’s okay,” Olivia says, her hand settling onto my chest, calming me down.  “I’m amazed you’ve let her out of your sight at all since you finally stopped hem-hawing around and made her yours.  I love Rylee.  She’s perfect for you, big brother.”

“Needed to give her time, especially with her dealing with Tyler,” I remind her, and she nods.  “So, if it’s not about Rylee, then what is it?”

“Mama knows,” Olivia says and a groan rips loose as I stare her down.  “I didn’t tell her.  Camila was over this morning talking with Emma before she went to work.  Emma said something about finding a blouse like that blue one of Rylee’s.  Camila teased her that she’d never be able to afford it on her salary and they were bickering.  Mama came in and asked them who Rylee was.  Emma rolled her eyes saying she was talking about ‘Luca’s Rylee, who else’…”

“And now Mama’s on the warpath because I didn’t tell her I have a girl,” I state pulling a nod from Olivia.  “Thanks for the head’s up.  I…”

My words stop when the door opens again and this time it is the girl I wanted to see.  Something about her posture seems off though and I move towards her, lifting her face to mine.  There’s a smile on her lips but her eyes are red and puffy.  “What’s wrong, mama?”

Rylee shakes her head, resting it against my chest and I hold her tighter, drinking her scent in, letting it calm the worry flooding me.

“Uhh, I want a hug too,” Olivia says, and I reluctantly let Rylee go, loving that she gets along with my sisters so well.  Truth be told, they’re pains in the ass a lot of times, but I love them.  “You’ve been crying.”

“I was but there’s something that made it all stop,” Rylee states reaching into her bag, pulling out a large envelope.  “It’s official.”

“The divorce papers?” I ask and she nods.  “You got them today?”

“This morning after you left.”

“Tyler called you, that’s why you just got here, why you were crying,” I guess, pulling her into me when she sighs.

“I don’t want to talk about it, just celebrate that I am officially done with all of the Curtis bullshit.  Julia can no longer try to run my life.  I’m a legally divorced woman now,” Rylee says as Laura moves by us, stopping to hug her shoulders.

“Then you should really celebrate.  Can’t believe Luca hasn’t put his ink on you yet and no way is he going to let any of the rest of us do it, but I do wicked good piercings that will make you both happy,” Laura teases her, and shit, it has my dick hard thinking of my girl with her nipples pierced.  Not going to happen with her being pregnant though and I pull her over to me again.

“I don’t think she’s there yet.  Haven’t corrupted her that much.  She’s still the sweet little PTA mama for the most part,” I joke, as her hands grip my shirt and waist, pressing closer.

“I’ve actually always wanted to get my nose pierced,” she says drawing my gaze down to her.  “Maybe I’ll do it in a few more months.”

“My chair is free right now, what are we waiting for?  Believe me, you’ll be glad you finally did it,” Laura states.

“And you’ll be the one I go to, in a few more months,” Rylee says, her face lifting towards mine and I smile, giving her a nod.  “It’s not really advised to get tattoos or piercings while pregnant.”

“What!?”  The squeals of the word draw the attention of everyone else and I slip my hand down to her bump, cupping it over her dress.

“Mama is going to kill you!” Olivia says, hugging Rylee around my hold on her.  “I get to be an auntie finally…when are you due?  How far along?”

“Well, I’m technically at nineteen weeks,” Rylee says, making Olivia’s eyes widen.  “Luca claimed us both though so I’m really feeling blessed about it.  Mark said he didn’t want any more kids the day I told him I wanted a divorce.  I was going to tell him but after that…”

“Fuck him,” Laura says, and I nod in agreement.

“Exactly, she was worried I wouldn’t stick around if I knew, but this little…”  I stop realizing I was about to spill the secret.  This baby was mine, but the secret was hers.

“Go ahead, you were so excited when we got the results with the amnio, you tell them,” Rylee states but hell yeah, I was excited.  Who wouldn’t want a daughter with the woman they love?

“This little princesa is mine.  Her mama is mine which makes her mine.”

“Luca Alejandro Moreno!”  The use of my full name and the voice saying it, using just it to scold me pulls a groan from my throat.  I turn us, facing my mother, seeing Camila and Emma right behind her with their jaws open.

“Mama, before you say anything, this is Rylee,” I state, holding her close as my mother launches into a stream of Spanish, listing out all of my sins, the worst of which of course is keeping the fact that I found a woman, made her pregnant, and kept her from my mama all this time.

“Mrs. Moreno,” Rylee says, stepping in front of me, leaning back against my chest flooring me when she tells Mama the whole story in the same tongue.

“Fuck mama, you didn’t tell me you were bilingual,” I growl, thinking of all the things I could have said to her while claiming her body the last two weeks.

“I told you my mother was from Colombia, what did you expect?” she teases, making Mama laugh and I let her go as Mama wraps her in a hug.

“Welcome to the family, hija,” Mama says and finally, my girl’s eyes sparkle like they usually do.  The redness I’ll deal with later when I put Tyler in his place.  Right now, I want my girl surrounded with love and that is with this family right here.
