Final Extraction by Julie Trettel
Silas
Chapter 25
I was bored at home alone and after a few hours of wishing Vada were here, I was about to consent and head to the Crate when the door clicked open.
Vada walked in looking like she had run a marathon. It set my gorilla on edge, and I immediately exploded as my clothes ripped from my body. My large silverback moved to cover her as I looked down the hall.
“What are you doing?” she asked with a laugh.
I grunted nervously not understanding what was happening.
“Fine. I suppose we had to do this at some point.”
She didn’t bother to strip, she just let the shift spontaneously take her too.
My gorilla startled and then started to sing as we sized each other up. She made the first move calling to me. She approached me slowly as our eyes locked and her lips pursed. My gorilla grew excited recognizing the move as a mating call.
I instantly shifted back to my human form effectively cock blocking my own gorilla. We hadn’t taken precautions earlier and there was no way in hell I would risk her getting pregnant in our animal forms.
She followed my lead and continued her slow approach. I quickly closed the gap between us and picked her up. Her legs wrapped around my waist, and I kept walking until her back was firmly pressed against the door.
Things became hot and heavy quickly and I soon had her panting in my arms and begging for me. I knew I would never tire of making love to her. Anywhere, and any way, it didn’t matter, I just wanted to be inside her and feel that completeness only Vada could bring to me.
She threw her head back against the door as her chest rose and fell calling to me. I sucked a pert nipple into my mouth and swirled my tongue around it as she moaned erotically.
I was ready to take her up against the door, but when I looked up, something halted me in my spot. I pulled back from her sensing a serious change but not understanding why.
“You asked me what I want, and the truth is, I don’t know enough to make that decision, but the one thing I do know is I want to find out, with you. Bite me, Silas. Make me yours.”
My body shook in awareness. “Are you sure?”
She nodded.
I stared down at her neck picking the perfect stop and before I could talk myself out of it, I bit her. She cried out in pleasure, and then I felt her bite down on me in the exact spot she had driven me crazy sucking on not that long ago.
The sensations that stirred started a frenzy within me. I plunged into her without preparation as I took her hard and fast against that door. There was nothing romantic or loving about the moment, it was aggressive and crazy, and she was with me every step of the way. We were in complete synch all the way through to the end when she let up on my neck to scream out my name.
“Mine,” I cried as I kissed her. “All mine.”
I carried her to the bed, never breaking our physical connection. I could already feel myself stirring for more. I laid her on her back and toyed with her body until I was hard again within her, and she was withering beneath me and begging for more. And then I moved.
We didn’t leave that room for another forty-eight hours passing the time away in every position we could think of until we were so tired, we napped only to wake up and do it some more. It was like marathon sex and became almost a game of who could come up with the most creative position.
My phone had a dozen missed calls, but no one came to check on us. Something told me that was Emma’s doing.
Vada was voracious and I couldn’t get enough of her either.
“I don’t think there will ever be a moment of any day, that I won’t want you inside me,” she confessed.
I smirked. “I’m happy to oblige again right now.”
She groaned, but I could smell her arousal spiking again.
God, I loved this woman and by now there was no part of her that I wasn’t intimately familiar with. We laid in bed tangled in each other’s limbs as we talked about anything and everything. This had been part of our pattern and by the time we forced ourselves to dress and go out, I knew her better than I even knew myself.
I was trying to take her out for a nice dinner. We’d eaten everything I had in the apartment already, but when we got off of the elevator to leave, there were people everywhere.
“Vada!” someone called out drawing attention to her as others crowded around.
I stayed by her side, but had to let go of her hand as people hugged her.
“Thank you for everything. I never would have survived in there without you.”
“We’re free, Vada. We did it.”
“Isn’t this place amazing?”
“They’re searching for my family. I might get to go home.”
I had no idea who everyone was. Names and faces didn’t matter. Their appreciation and excitement was contagious though and soon it filtered to me.
“Are you with the Force? Thank you.”
A strange woman I’d never seen before hugged me.
Everyone wanted to come by and thank Vada and sometimes me.
“You did good. These people look up to you. They praise you for everything you did for them,” I told her.
“It was nothing,” she insisted, but I knew better by the welcome responses she was receiving. She was important to these people, a leader amongst them, and I was proud to be her mate and stand by her side.
“Vada! You’re here. You left without saying goodbye.”
“I’m sorry, Jax, It all just happened so quickly.”
“It’s okay. I’ve been talking to Marie, and she’s encouraged me to come out of my shell. They’re going to setup a meeting for me to share my story with the leader of Bravo team.”
Vada turned and looked up to me with a glint of mischief in her eyes.
“I can do better than that,” she said. “Why don’t you come to dinner with us, and you can tell him yourself right now before you chicken out.”
I didn’t particularly want to share her, but the way the boy lit up, combined with the smile on my mate’s face, I couldn’t tell him no and I knew I would never be able to tell her no.
“Sure, come on. I’m starved.”
It took a few minutes still to work our way outside, before we could even reach the car.
Once we were en route Vada turned to talk to Jax. “So, this is Silas, leader of Bravo team. You can tell him everything.”
“This is the Silas? Man, I hope you continue those daily workouts because this girl is going to give you a run for your money. I mean you should see the dirty thoughts running through her head even right now.”
“Jax!” she squealed as I laughed.
“You’re going to tell me all about those ideas later. But Jax, how do you know that?”
“I’m a telepath.”
“Jax helped me a lot at the end. I needed to get information to Jake for help without risking anyone else hearing, so we used Jax to communicate through.”
“How does that work?”
“I can hear people’s thoughts as clear as if they’re my own, but I can also project my thoughts to others. It seemed to work well.”
“We need to get you connected with Kelsey.”
“That’s what Marie said too.”
“Why Kelsey?” Vada asked.
“She’s a witch too.”
“She is?”
“Yes, we have a few of them around here now. She helps them work through stuff.”
“Like what?” Jax asked.
“Like why you feel the need to hide such a gift, and why you shouldn’t.”
We pulled up to a diner. It looked fun, like something from the past.
“I like this place. It’s cute.”
“I’m glad, because I eat here often,” I confessed with a chuckle.
We walked inside and Vada surprised me as she greeted Sage inside.
“We met last night,” she explained.
“Hi, I’m Sage,” she said to Jax.
Jax was gawking like he had stars in his eyes. I nudged him.
“Um, hi. Jax. I’m Jax. I’m a witch.” His face fell and his cheeks turned bright red. “No, that’s not what I meant, I mean…”
“It’s cool, Jax. I’m a witch, too.”
Vada gave me a surprised look between them, and I nodded my head in confirmation,
“Cool,” Jax managed to say.
We sat down and Sage took our orders.
“She’s so pretty, and I’m an idiot. Hi, I’m Jax, I’m a witch. Idiot!” he condemned himself.
I glanced back at Sage who was smiling in our direction. “I don’t need telepathy to know she didn’t think you were an idiot.”
Vada and Jax mostly talked through lunch while I remained quiet, but I didn’t mind. I was used to eating there alone, so just having Vada by my side made it the best meal I’d ever had.
It wasn’t long before I heard snickering behind me. I turned and peered over the seat. Baine’s kid Macie was huddled down with Kyle’s boy, Zander. Those two were always up to something.
“What are you two troublemakers up to this time?” I barked causing them both to jump.
Vada peeked over the booth. “Oh, hello. I’m Vada what’s your names?”
“I’m Zander, future Alpha of Westin Pack. You may bow,” he said.
“Zander!” Kelsey admonished.
I grinned. “Nice try kid.”
He groaned and sank back down. “Mom, I’m sorry. I was just letting her know it was an option, not that she had to do it.”
“I am so sorry, Vada.”
She laughed. “It’s not a big deal. He’s cute.”
Olivia and Baine walked in next.
“She’s over here,” I said pointing behind me.
“Traitor,” Macie murmured.
“Stay out of my office and I’ll try better to help next time.”
“How’d you know that was us?” Zander asked.
Macie growled. “He didn’t, genius, but he does now. You can’t tell my parents.”
“Can’t tell them what exactly?” Kelsey asked.
“Nothing!” Both kids said in unison.
“Short stuff, let’s go. We’re having dinner at Nonna’s tonight.”
“Sorry. I forgot.”
She wiggled out of the booth.
“Hey, Baine, Olivia, Have you two met my mate yet? This is Vada.”
“Briefly,” Baine said. He offered his hand which she shook. “It’s nice to officially meet you.”
Olivia grinned. “You took our advice after all, didn’t you? You go girl.”
I looked over to see Vada blushing furiously.
“Macie, come on, we’re going to be late. Silas, welcome home. Vada, we’re still on for lunch tomorrow?”
“Absolutely.”
“Great, see you guys later.”
Judging by the pink coating my mate’s cheeks, I knew something went down at that ladies’ night she’d rushed back from in such a hurry. I grinned as I recalled it knowing that was a night I would never forget. The night I made her mine.
I was suddenly very happy to encourage her to attend those meetings regularly from now on.
“What’s that look for?” she asked.
“Nothing.”
She gave me a look.
“What? Can’t I just be happy?”
I leaned over and kissed her.
“Happy, peaceful, and complete, right?”
“Yeah, now that you mention it, I do feel complete, and at peace.”
I knew we had a lot of obstacles ahead of us, and our future was uncertain, but for now, life was pretty damn great.
