It’s Only Temporary by Iona Rose

Icouldn’t wait for the wedding to be over. I was tired of all the smiling and pretending to be having a whale of a time. Throughout the ceremony, Bianca was right next to me but it was like she wasn’t there. The easy banter we exchanged was gone, in its place awkwardness and the feeling that something had changed.

After the church ceremony it was outside for the pictures. I was happy for my sister. She was glowing and clearly happy with her decision to marry Brian. My life felt pretty fucked up at that moment.

I was glad when that part of the ceremony was done and we could go to the decorated dining room for the reception.

“It’s beautiful,” Bianca said as we entered.

I’d missed her voice. We hadn’t exchanged three full sentences since we woke up. “The company that does the décor services are pretty good at their jobs.”

I couldn’t believe I’d said something so stupid.

We filed into the dining room and found our table. I pulled out the chair for Bianca and as she sat down, I caught a whiff of her minty scent and I almost broke down begging her to take me back.

“Sarah and Brian look so happy,” Bianca said, a wistful note in her voice.

Was she thinking that she would like to get married some day? Highly unlikely. She had been very adamant that she wasn’t interested in marriage or a serious relationship.

Every part of me wanted to pursue her. To convince her that we would be great together but another part of me was afraid of making promises I wasn’t a hundred percent sure I could keep.

I was done with Angie. That, I was sure of. But I didn’t know if I was ready for another relationship. What I was ready for was a good time with a good woman. We had less than two days left and I didn’t want to spend them with the cool atmosphere that was between us.

The clinking of a glass pulled me back to the present. It was time for the best man’s speech. Brian’s best friend Mack, was doing the honors and we all fell silent as he started his speech. My concentration was fucked up and I was barely listening. I was too keenly aware of Bianca seated next to me.

“I’m proud of Brian for recognizing the moment he met someone special. A lot of us don’t always and we spend the rest of our lives wondering what might have been,” Mack was saying.

A chill went through me. It was as though Mack could read my thoughts. That had always been my great fear. Having regrets later in life. I snuck a look at Bianca. Was she the one? My heart pounded crazily in my chest.

“Let’s raise a glass to Brian and Sarah’s happiness,” Mack said and we all raised our glasses.

“Cheers,” we called out in unison and then Bianca and I clinked glasses, staring deep into each other’s eyes as we did so.

For a few seconds, my world came to a stop as I stared at her. She was so fucking gorgeous. In less than two days she would be out of my life. Permanently. I wouldn’t even have the luxury of going to the cocktail bar when I missed her, just to catch a glimpse of her.

“That was a nice speech,” Bianca said happily.

“It was.”

Minutes later, dinner was served and the waiters placed plates on the table. Bianca reached for a napkin and placed it on her lap. My mind immediately went to the garter. My fingers itched to touch the creamy skin of her thighs and my ears longed to hear her soft cries of passion.

Dinner was nice and so was the wine though I limited myself to one glass. I wanted to keep a clear head as I’d decided that I was going to plead my case to Bianca. There was no way I was wasting the next day and a half.

It had taken some time but I’d finally figured out what had pissed her off. I’d gone to meet with Angie without letting her know. That had been disrespectful and I knew that if roles had been reversed, I’d have been livid.

Then it was time for the newly wedded couple’s first dance. It was touching to watch them lost in their own world and I couldn’t help but wonder if one day that would be me and someone.

The groomsmen and Sarah’s maids also took to the dance floor. An overwhelming need to have Bianca in my arms came over me.

“Dance?” I said to her.

“I’d like that,” she said softly.

I got up and offered her my hand. As soon as her hand touched mine, sparks flew between us. I had to convince her that I’d meant no disrespect. I’d just been in a mad rush to finish with Angie and return to the lodge to her.

In the dance floor, I held Bianca close and she wrapped her arms around my neck. I felt as if I’d come home as her soft body molded against mine. Unable to help myself, I planted a soft kiss on her neck. She let out a sharp inhale but did not protest.

Her breathing grew heavy and I could feel her nipples pressing against my chest. Arousal gripped my whole body and I knew she could feel my cock pressing against her pelvis.

I caressed her back and shoulders and her hands softly massaged my shoulders. I needed to get her alone in our room, but first.

“Can we go out to the terrace for a few minutes?” I whispered into her ear.

She drew back and searched my face, then she nodded. I took her hand and led her away from the dance floor, past the bar to the lounge and through the French doors.

It wasn’t as cold as I expected but I took off my tuxedo jacket and slipped it around her. After arranging the jacket, I didn’t move away. I held her gaze.

“I want to apologize for the other day,” I said.

She shook her head even before I finished the little speech I’d practiced in my head.

“You don’t have to apologize. You don’t owe me anything, remember? I agreed to come with you as your fake fiancé for a week.” Her voice was trembling the slightest bit.

“I want to explain to you what happened that afternoon,” I said, plowing ahead. “All I wanted was to finish with Angie once and for all. I have known for some time that even if she came pleading, I wouldn’t get back with her.”

Bianca inhaled deeply.

“You’ve shown me how fun life can be with a good woman whose thoughts and actions did not revolve around herself,” I said.

“Oh Connor,” she said.

“I needed to get her out of my life pronto and come back to the lodge to enjoy the days we had remaining. I made a mistake of not telling you. You’re wrong in saying that I don’t owe you an explanation. I do.”

She looked away before swinging her gaze back to me.

“I told Angie that I was completely done with her and nothing in this world would make me go back to her. We said goodbye and that was the end of that. I’m sorry I hurt you with my actions.”

Tears filled her eyes. “I don’t know what to say but I’m glad you told me.”

I slipped my hands around her waist and pulled her to me. I angled my mouth over hers and brushed my lips against hers. It felt so fucking good to kiss her. A strangled moan escaped her mouth and my control disintegrates.

“Let’s go to our room,” I said, tearing my mouth away.

“Yes please,” Bianca whispered back.

Luckily, we did not run into anyone as we cut across the lodge to our room. I opened the room and turned on the lights. I wanted to see every expression she made and see every inch of her skin. I’d missed her in a way that frightened me but refused to dwell on that.

I slipped the jacked off her shoulders and allowed my gaze to rake over her body.

“You look beautiful,” I said to her.

“Thank you,” she said softly.

Without my asking, she turned around and I knew that she needed me to undress her. I reached for the zipper and slowly brought it down, while kissing her shoulders.

Bianca shrugged out of the dress and it fell into a pile at her feet which she stepped out of. She turned around and I let out a sharp breath at the vision of her in just her panties and bra. I’d thought I’d never see her like that again.

She reached for the buttons of my shirt and one by one, she popped them open. I helped with the lower ones and in seconds, my shirt had joined her dress on the floor. Bianca ran her hands over my chest making my desire shoot up another level.

I took a lungful of breath to steady myself and then reached out to cup her breasts. Bianca moaned loudly and arched her chest inviting me to do as I pleased with her.

The gesture turned me into a beast. I pulled down the cups of her bra, baring her breasts. I descended on them, taking a nipple into my mouth and teasing it with my tongue.

Bianca’s moans filled the room as she grabbed my head, holding me in place. I thumbed the other taut nipple loving the sounds my woman was making. A voice in my head reminded me that Bianca was not my woman.

She was mine tonight.

She let go of my head, reached back and unclasped her bra and then shrugged out of it.

“Beautiful.” I drew back to admire the perfection that was her body.

I held her breasts and brought them together. I continued my onslaught on her nipples until she cried that she couldn’t take it anymore.

“I want you inside me,” she said unashamedly.

I loved that about Bianca. She knew what she wanted and was not afraid to say it. We moved to the bed and as she lay down, I unbuckled my belt, undid the single button of my pants and pulled them down along with my boxer briefs.

I clambered onto the bed and lifted one of her legs onto my shoulder. I glanced down at her glistening, soaking wet pussy and hissed. She was more than ready for me.

I guided my cock to her entrance but instead of plunging it in like I wanted to, I drug it over her folds, loving the tortured sounds Bianca was making.

“Please Connor,” she said. “I need you.”

Fuck, I needed her too.

I pushed my cock into the heat of her pussy and momentarily shut my eyes as her pussy clenched around it. Her moans grew louder and louder as I thrust in and out. She felt incredible. Her eyes were glazed over with desire and her lower lip was captured between her teeth.

I lost the last dredges of control and fucked her mindlessly, the bucking of her hips letting me know that we were together. Her movements grew erratic and wild. She clawed at the beddings as she inched closer to the edge, taking me with her.

My orgasm got closer and closer. With one hard thrust, we both came, screaming each other’s names. Bianca wore a look of complete bliss as her breath slowly returned to normal.

It was a look I wanted to see again and again. She flashed me a lazy smile as I joined her on the bed and pulled her into my arms.

“That was amazing.”
