Daddy’s Accidental Little Heartbreak by Penny Snoak

CHAPTER ONE

Bernice

"Oh, Bianca," Zane groaned as he gripped my hair.  "You're so much better than your sister."  Confusion washed over me like a tidal wave as I looked over my shoulder at him.

"What the hell did you just say?" I asked, and he motioned for me to quiet down as he continued pounding away at me from behind.

"Drop the act, Bianca," he grunted, his eyes rolled up into the back of his head.  "Your sister's out of the office, remember?  I sent her to go get lunch."  Realizing that she had done it again, I pulled away from him and made my way around the desk to the other side of the office.

"Motherfucker, I am Bernice!" I shouted, and he tilted his head to the side, either confused or not believing a word I said.  I watched the realization take hold, and his jaw dropped.

“Really, Bernice?” he asked,  his thick cock still erect.  "If you're Bernice, then why the hell are you here?"  The angrier I grew, the more I quivered as I attempted to control myself.

"Why were you here?" I asked him as calmly as possible.  "You're supposed to be at the restaurant waiting for me!"  Zane actually had the audacity to look indignant, almost as if he was the one being cheated on, not the cheater.

"That's no way to speak to your Daddy," he insisted when he finally found his voice.    "No wonder Xavier didn't want to stay with you!"  All restraint fled my body, and I lost my temper as I stood across from him.

"For your information, I left him for fucking my sister!" I shouted as I threw his shirt at him.  "Also, get the fuck out of here!  I never want to see you again."  I dressed myself and turned to face him.  "Go on!  Get out!"  Realizing I was hysterical and angry, he took advantage of me and fueled the flame that was my temper.

"I should have known that you were the wrong twin," he muttered while he pulled on his clothing.  "You're not even as good as she is."  By that time, I was past the point of no return and ready to murder him.

"Get the fuck out of here," I ordered as I glared at him.  "Also, the deal's off!  As long as I'm here, you'll never do business with this company again."  Much to my surprise, a grin spread across his face, and I wondered what he was thinking.

"You already know Bianca won't let that happen," he reminded me.  "Face it, your sister has more power than you'll ever have in your life.  She's the only one anyone takes seriously.  Both at the office and in bed."  Tired of the current argument, I took a deep breath and lowered my voice.

"Get out, or I'm calling the police!" I threatened just before the door flew open, and Bianca entered my office.

"Hey!" Bianca shouted as she looked at Zane.  "You weren't supposed to be here for another hour!"  She froze when she saw me.  "Oh, I mean…"  I shook my head.

"Cut the shit, Bianca," I told her as I brushed past her.  “Good luck together.  I’m done living in your shadows and ending up with your scraps.  You want that man whore, you can have him, but you’re on your own!”  She looked from Zane to me and back, and, after realizing why I was so upset, she moved to stop me from leaving the office.

“You can’t just leave,” she protested as her hand landed on my shoulder.  “You own half the company, and we need you!  Without you, there’s no Darling Realty.  We’ll be done for!”  I whirled around to face her.  Staring into her eyes, one of the only few features that was different between the two of us, I shook my head.

“Should have thought about that before you started messing around with my Daddy and made him think that you run everything without me,” I hissed venomously at her.  Straightening my posture into a more dignified stance, I brushed her hand off me and steeled myself, trying not to cry as I pulled away from her.  “I’m leaving the entire company to you.  I’ve got all the money I need, and I’ll go somewhere else.”  Unable to believe me, she crossed her arms.

“Where?” she demanded, her voice full of fury.  “Where are you going to go?  The house is under my name, same as the car, and everything else.  Even our bank accounts are joint business accounts.”  Realizing she didn’t know that I only ever put a small portion of my earnings in the account we shared, a smile spread across my face.

“Anywhere but here,” I informed her, tasting sweet victory.  “I have my own money, more than enough to hold me over for almost a year.  Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a meeting to get to.”  With that, I turned and started towards the door, leaving Bianca and Zane atunned in the middle of the lobby as I marched out the front doors and out onto the sunlight streets of Chicago.

Bianca had stolen my Daddy from me for the last time, and I had enough after letting Xavier go.  When I met Zane, he swore up and down that I was the only Little for him, and Bianca promised to stay away from him so that I could finally be happy.  So much for keeping promises.  As I pulled out my cell phone, which, thankfully, was under my name, and scrolled through my contacts.  Finding Xavier’s number, I pressed the call button.

Even though Xavier and I broke up a while ago, he had me keep his number just in case we ever needed renovations or anything done on a house we were selling.  He was currently dating a Little named Stephanie, who was really sweet and had actually become a good friend of mine after Xavier introduced us during our most recent project.  I knew that, if I called him, I would likely get to speak to Stephanie and see if she and Skye were looking for more people to work at the real estate agency Skye owned.

“Hello?” Xavier said when he answered the phone.  Taking a deep breath, I forced a smile as I located the nearest bus station.

“Hey, Xavier, it’s Bernice,” I said as I sat down on the bus station.  “Can I talk to Stephanie, please?  I want to ask a favor…”
