My Arrogant Boss by Kylie King

Chapter Twenty-Three

RACHEL

Once again, waking up in Finn’s arms was a dream. The sun was slowly peeking over the horizon, and Vegas life was already calling to me at eight in the morning. My belly grumbled as I thought about breakfast, and then I heard Finn laugh.

“What’s so funny?” I asked, smiling.

“You’re always hungry.”

“I am not!”

“You so are. No shame in that. I’m hungry too.”

I sat up on one elbow and looked out of the window. “I am hungry, but seriously, look at this view. I could wake up here every morning.”

Finn sat up with me. “Yeah.”

“Breakfast?” I asked.

“Definitely.” I climbed out of bed as he said, “I’ll just go over to my room to change.”

“Okay. Meet me back here.”

Finn went to his room next door, and when the door shut behind him, I went for my suitcase to find something to wear. I decided to go with a pair of jean shorts and a silk blouse.

After putting in my earrings and completing my final touches, I picked up my phone and took a picture of my view. Because seriously, I needed to remember my spent time there.

I waited for Finn, but when thirty minutes passed, and he still hadn’t shown up, I got worried.

I sent him a text.

Everything ok?

I waited a few minutes for him to respond, but he didn’t. I figured he must’ve been showering, shaving, or something, so I grabbed my purse and key card and left my room to go to his. I gave his door a rapid knock, and it was answered immediately.

Only it wasn’t Finn who’d answered.

It was a woman.
