Alicia’s Vengeance by Lila Fox

Chapter Eight

Alicia listened to Sally and Kristina as they made cookies, but her mind was on what the guys were talking about. She wanted to know everything they were saying, and every minute that went by, it got more agonizing. When she heard the office door open and male voices, she tensed.

Stone’s voice stood out from all the rest, and her body instantly heated. Her stomach twisted with desire when he walked into the room.

He held a hand out. “Come with me. We don’t have much time.”

“Why?” she asked when she took his hand. He pulled her out the back door. Before she knew it, he had her pressed to the side of the building. “What are you doing?”

“We’re going to talk.”

“You need your knee in between my legs to talk to me?”

“Yeah, if you’ve got a problem with it, get over it. You better get used to me touching you and fucking you whenever I want. And you’ll never deny me, will you?”

She swallowed. “I don’t know how long I’ll be here.”

“Unless you hate it or me, you’re staying for the duration.”

“What about Denver?” she asked.

“What about it? I can’t move us there. We can visit sometime, but otherwise, my life is with the club, and now you’re a part of it.”

“What? Wait. How did I become a part of it?”

“By being my woman.”

She stared up at him. Her emotions were chaotic at the moment because she didn’t know how she felt. “Do I get a say in the matter?”

She almost smiled when he smirked and said, “Sure.” She didn’t believe him, and he knew it.

“I’ll stay for the time being, but I can’t make any promises. I’m handing over some of the control to get these bastards, but if it’s not done, I’ll take over again. Did you know there have been seven women killed in the same way in the last four years, and no one will do anything about it?”

He looked surprised. “No, I didn’t. I’ll let the guys know. I’m going to have to leave…”

“I thought we were going to talk about what was said in the meeting.”

“I can’t tell you a whole lot, but we’re all in agreement that something has to be done, and we’ll have to be the ones to do it.”

“How?”

He cupped her face in his hands. “You’re going to just have to trust me on this.”

She bit down on her lip. “You expect me to give up all the control and trust you after knowing you a few days? Isn’t that a lot to ask of anyone?”

“Yes, it is, but I’m still asking.”

He stared into her eyes and waited.

She sighed. “Okay. I’ll try.”

“You’ll do more than try, and while I’m gone, you stay in the club. Don’t go outside for anyone or anything until I get back. Do you understand?”

“Yes.” Now he was going to make her a prisoner.

“When I get back, I’ll come to find you.”

“We’ll talk then?” she asked.

He chuckled. “Sure.”

She hit him on the chest and tried to bite his lip.

“Woman, we’ll have to work on your violent tendencies.”

“I think they’re fine. I need something to fight you with.”

“I hope we don’t fight at all.”

Before she could say anything, his mouth swooped down and took hers in a kiss so carnal it took her breath away.

The hoots and whistles finally got her attention. She lifted her head to find a group of guys staring and grinning at them. Then she looked down to see Stone had pulled her shirt up and had a hand over one of her breasts.

She tried to push him away, but it was like moving a mountain. When he snorted at her effort, she kicked him. It was a wasted effort since she still didn’t have her shoes on, and he was wearing boots.

“You bastard,” she said and struggled to get her shirt down.

“Babe, settle down. They can’t see anything.”

“Still. I don’t want to be half-naked in front of them.”

“I might play with you a bit, but I’ll never fuck you in front of them.”

“Oh, boy,” she said and rolled her eyes. “You’re so sweet.”

He snorted and pressed a hard kiss to her mouth. “I’ve got to go. I want you in the club now.”

She nodded. “Be careful.”

“I will be. Make me some cookies, woman.”

She turned and walked away from him before she flipped him the bird over her shoulder, making the group of guys laugh hard.

“You’ll pay for that later, Al,” Stone said.

“We’ll see.” A smile touched her lips for the first time in so long, and she was actually looking forward to the next hour and day. A few days ago, she didn’t think that would ever happen.

There was still a lot up in the air because her revenge against the Black Demons was never going away. At least until she knew every one of them was gone from the earth.
