Omega Found by E.L. Rose

Roman

Honey is waiting for me, I can smell the sweet scent of her blood, it’s calling to me, and it’s taking every ounce of my control not to rush out there, grab her, and spread her on my desk.

Get it together Roman, she has been through so much.I repeat it over and over in my head until my instincts die down. I know she is an Omega, there is no other way she can be my mate unless she is. It has been seven hundred years since we had an Omega wolf, so this complicates an already complex situation.

I should have realized what she was last night. I need to speak with my confidant on the council to try and figure out what to do. I run my hands through my hair and look over Honey's file. Someone broke into my office last night and they used a scent equalizer, so I could not smell who was here. Sighing, I realize people will know what happened to Honey now. These rich brats will be too happy to let her know that they knew.

I straighten my jacket and take a deep calming breath; Honey has no idea why she growled at me last night, but I know. I am her mate and soon enough, she will realize it as well. I just need time to figure out what I am going to do, and figure out if this is what I want. I take one more deep breath and move to open my door.

My voice catches in my throat when I see her. She’s wearing ballet flats, leggings, and a deep red off the shoulder sweater that makes her skin look like dark caramel. Her hair is thrown up into a messy bun. She is so beautiful; it hurts not to be able to touch her. She’s sitting there staring at the ground. She looks so innocent and for a second, I regret bringing her to a school where I know most people will try to take advantage of her. The selfish part of me is extremely happy that she will be here every day where I can see and smell her—cinnamon and cherries.

“Honey, please follow me into my office.” Her head whips up and blinks when she looks at me. Slowly she stands, casts her eyes back down, and moves towards me. How I desperately want her to stare at me with those gorgeous eyes of hers. “I hope you slept well last night, Honey?”

“Yes, thank you so much, Headmaster Branch.”

She sits in the chair and folds her hands in her lap, looking around my office. I try to see how it would look through her eyes. Being in my office daily, I’ve stopped really seeing the beauty of the room. I collect a lot of first edition books and some snow globes. Some globes are so old that I have the only ones remaining in the entire world.

“How was your morning?” I wait for her answer while she starts to play with the edge of her shirt.

“It was unusual and freeing to wake up not chained in the basement. But how am I going to stay at this school? I don’t have the money to be here.” She turns her watery eyes my way.

“Honey, every year the school gives one scholarship, and this year they awarded it to you; they will provide everything for you. In fact, I have your uniforms for the year.” I reach under my desk and pull out three uniforms, plus a winter jacket. Her eyes are as big as saucers.

“These are for me?”

“Yes, and you can wear heels or your ballet flats if you choose. I also have a new school bag and your schedule.” I stand up and move from around the desk to place everything near her. My selfish inner vampire grins when she not so discreetly sniffs me.

“Your first class is History of Wolves. I will walk you there and then someone will guide you to your next class.” I watch as she stands up and bends down to retrieve her belongings, my traitorous cock hardens as I stare at her delectable ass in those leggings. I quickly move around my desk to hide my erection from her.

“What is that sweet smell? Do you have an air freshener in here?” I groan. Of course, she would smell my arousal, with her wolf waking up her sense of smell would be much better.

“Ah no, hmm... must be coming in from the kitchen, go on ahead and wait for me back in the reception office.” I watch her until she closes the door and I look down at my cock. I have to think of the most unpleasant things for the blood to drain, leaving me soft.

Time to get her out of my office.
